Welcome
The Central Library of Topiwala National Medical college was established in October, 1946. In its early years, the library functioned from a single room measuring 540 sq. ft., where books and journals were stored in just 20 wooden cupboards.
As the college expanded, the library also grew to meet the academic needs of students and faculty. After the Golden Jubilee, major developments were undertaken, leading to the creation of the platinum Jubilee Library, which now occupies a Specious and modern area of 10,830 sq. ft.
History of Librarians

Mr. J.P. Ferdis served as librarian until November, 1981.

He was succeeded by Smt. Neela Shah, who managed the library from November, 1981 to November 1988.

Smt. Kanchan Patil then took charge and served until October, 2014.

Mr. Arvind Dadale has served as the Chief Medical Librarian.

Mrs. Harshali Pradeep Bhalerao has now taken charge as the Chief Medical Librarian, Since October, 2024, continuing the tradition of excellence and dedicated service in this prestigious institution.

The library of Topiwala National Medical College is well-established, fully
air- conditioned facility serving students, faculty, researchers and institutional staff
since 1979. Access is provided against a valid identity card. The library is
committed to supporting academic excellence by offering a wide range of

The Central Library is well designed, spacious facility that supports learning,
teaching and research. It offers a comfortable and technology-enabled
environment with a build-up area of 10,830 sq. ft. and a seating capacity of
250 users.
A modern Digital Library Lab equipped with high-speed internet and
computer systems, access to e-resources, e-journals, e-books and online
databases.
Wi-Fi enabled environment for personal laptop and devise usage.Entire library operations are automated using SLIM software.
Well- organized stack area with open access to books and reference materials.
